How To Apply
A successful Lowes Small Toolbox for Education Grant application will require some advance work by you and your parent group. Follow the 3 Key Steps below to ensure that you have all the information you need before filing your online grant application.
4 Simple Steps to Application Success:
Step 1: This application is for the $2,000-$5,000 Small Toolbox for Education grant. Public and public charter schools are eligible to apply. Print out and review the Pre-Application Checklist (PDF file). Note: You will need Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer to read this file. Get the current version of Adobe Acrobat here.
Use the Pre-Application as a guide to collect and compile a Word document that contains your group's application information. The pre-application checklist includes all of the details you will need to supply as part of your application. When you are ready to submit the application online, you can copy and paste the data from the Word document into the online application.
Step 2: Confirm your school is in our database by clicking on the "Go to Application" button below. If your email address is not on file, you will be asked to find your School in our database, using your School's zip code.
If you cannot find your school in our database, please send an email to or call us at 1-800-644-3561 x7 and we will help you get started. The following is the School information we will need in order to add you to the database:
- School Name (i.e. Abraham Lincoln Elementary)
- School Address
- School Phone Number
Step 3: Develop a project that you would like to complete using funds from a Small Toolbox for Education grant. Visit the Sample Projects page for ideas and inspiration.
